Frequently asked questions

Which dice can I roll?

Six types: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20, from 1 to 6 dice at a time. The total is added up for you.

Are the virtual dice fair?

Yes. Every face has exactly the same chance, chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator. Physical dice can be slightly unbalanced; these cannot.

What does 2d6 mean?

It is dice notation: the first number is how many dice, and the number after d is how many sides. 2d6 means roll two six-sided dice and add them.

What is the most common total with two dice?

7. Six of the 36 possible combinations add up to 7, so it comes up about 16.7% of the time. 2 and 12 are the rarest, at 1 in 36 each.
