The vowels are A, E, I, O and U. Every other letter of the 26-letter English alphabet counts as a consonant, including Y, which is treated as a consonant here to keep the groups simple.

Ideas for a random letter

How random is it?

Every letter in the pool has exactly the same chance. Common letters such as E and T are not favoured the way they are in real words, so this is a true alphabet draw, not a letter-frequency draw. Picks use your browser's cryptographic random number generator.
